Selecting Between DSLR and Digicam

While you have decided to purchase any camera for yourself you need to be very much clear about what type of camera you are going to buy. Be it a Digital Camera (Digicam) or a simple DSLR. But above all you have to be very much clear that for what purpose you are going to use these Cameras. Either you are going for a professional photography or just for taking casual pictures in your day to day life. Another thing is to judge yourself that are you a novice or an experienced person at photography. These two basic things will help you in selection among the DSLR or the Digicam.

DSLRs are costlier than the normal Digicam available. Always there is one thumb rule the one which is costlier will always be better and will have advance futures than the cheaper ones. From the cost only you can guess that DSLRs will have more advance features than the normal Digicam. Therefore if you are having a low budget then always try to buy the best Digicam available. And if you are having good budget then go for DSLR.

Another point of selection is the need for buying a camera. If you want to use it for professional photography then go for DSLR and if you are going to use it just for normal day to day photography and that too with much ease then go for Digicam.

Now the question arises what is there inside DSLR which make it more costly and more advanced than a Digicam. With Digicam you cannot have full control on each and every aspects of photography, like changing the subject of photography, shutter speed, contrast, brightness, hue, white balance, and many other features which will let you to have a professional snap. Moreover these Digicam have very less Optical Zoom as compared to DSLRs. DSLR have good combination of both Optical Zoom and Digital Zoom to grab your subject from the snap with ease.
